At Merle Norman Cosmetics, we can honestly call ourselves a true American success story. Our founder, Merle Nethercutt Norman, could hardly have imagined the empire that she began building back in 1931 in Ocean Park, developing products to remedy her own skin concerns.

Today, the company continues to prosper under the leadership of her great nephew, along with hundreds of other men and women who help develop, manufacture and market innovative and industry-leading skin care and color products.

These products are sold through independently owned and operated Merle Norman Cosmetic Franchises located throughout the U.S. and Canada, giving women (as well as men!) the opportunity to own their own brick and mortar cosmetics business. It’s a business model pioneered by Merle Norman herself that continues today.
